What kind of vehicles does Goodwill accept?
Goodwill accepts automobiles, trucks, vans, motorcycles. The donee must be able to drive the vehicle to the Tyler South location and be able to sign over a clear title and the keys to the vehicle. There will be forms to complete and Goodwill will supply the notary.
How do I donate my vehicle?
You can drive your vehicle to the Goodwill South Super Store.
How much is my vehicle worth as a tax deduction?
Donors will receive a donation receipt that shows the vehicle we received, the make, model and mileage. When you file your taxes, you will have to complete the proper forms for your tax return.
Per IRS publication 561, all not-for-profit organizations are prohibited from assigning values or estimates to donated items. In general the amount you can deduct is based on the fair market value of the vehicle.
