Goodwill Industries of East Texas unveiled a new opportunity for organizations, clubs, student groups, churches, etc. to raise funds while giving back to their communities. On January 31st, they launched a Donation Drive Fundraiser program open to any community in their region. “It is a win-win” for everyone, stated Gail Gray, Director of Donated Goods. The organizations have a tool for an easy means to raise money for their groups while supporting the mission of Goodwill Industries right in their own communities. The organization can organize a drive to collect 13 gallon bags of clothing, wares, shoes, linens, etc. For the first 10 bags collected, Goodwill will pay $100, every bag thereafter will be paid at $5 per bag. There will be a $100 bonus paid for reaching 50 bags of donated items. An example of how an organization can reach a $750 payout is to achieve a goal of collecting only 100 bags of items ( 13 gallon size minimum).”
